Our Booth at the NFRA National Convention

We had a great weekend promoting nuclear energy and the Yucca Mountain Repository . . . our educational advocacy at the National Federation of Republican Assemblies annual meeting at the Atlantis Casino Resort in Reno. A couple hundred attendees from across the country, delegates from their states met to review their board decisions, leadership training, and resolutions etc. met to pass decisions on their organization.

This group had an open mind to our mission of educating the public about nuclear energy and the Yucca Mountain Repository voted into law by congress July 9, 2002. We were available in the booth area of the convention to provide literature, brochures and played our DVDs on nuclear during their session breaks, before and after lunches and dinner.

Through the efforts of Ralph McMullen Nevada NVRA member, in August 2009 the Nevada Republican Assembly adopted a resolution statement supporting the Yucca Mountain Repository. A few days before the NFRA national convention I submitted a letter to the resolutions committee requesting a Yucca position statement from the National Federation of Republican Assemblies. They voted and approved the national resolution on October 24th. The text of this resolution has been added to our web page on National Associations with position statements and resolutions supporting the Yucca Mountain Nuclear Waste Repository.

A Sincere effort of Major importance to America-Nuclear Energy!
